What’s up, babes, we’re back with another highlight! Today’s feature is one worth tuning in to because she is out here helping us get our coins and lives together, okay?! Jasmine Gibson, better known as Strategist Jas, is marketing expert CEO of Miocoa Strategies, Podcaster, Blogger, you name it! Her why really hits different: “A few years ago, I reached a point where the commute from Baltimore to D.C. for work combined with the problems, I was having with my employer was becoming unbearable. Now, I see all of that as God making me uncomfortable and giving me the push I needed to step out and fulfill my dream of creating Miocoa Strategies to meet the branding and strategic marketing and business needs of Black women entrepreneurs. Then recently, I found out that less than 20 percent of all marketers are Black. It inspired me to serve even more. Those numbers are unacceptable. It’s one of the reasons my team at Miocoa Strategies and I work hard to support black women in business and provide the tools that they and Black marketers need to level up their marketing so they can achieve the kind of success we know is possible for them.”
Even with all the progress we’ve made throughout the years, proper Black representation is still lacking in a severe way. I am so glad that Jasmine is one of the few willing to take on that role! It helps entrepreneurs get their businesses all the way together. We work closely with our clients to help them identify their target market, unique competitive advantage and so much more, then we create a strategic plan that helps them lay the foundation for their new brand or reposition their existing business. I’m also happy to announce my new podcast is launching in April. It will give Black creatives, marketers and brand experts a voice and will challenge the stereotype that says there is no talent in black and brown communities.
