10 Must Have Beauty Products!

What’s up guy’s, we’re back with more Boujee Boss Hacks! By reading the title, you can see that we’re doing things a little different this week. I usually stray from superficial topics like beauty, hair, and makeup, but this sector is called Boujee Boss Hacks, and what kind of Boujee Boss isn’t at least a little infatuated with keeping up their physical appearance?! I’m woke and all, and I know I’m beautiful without that stuff, but I also love playing in it! It’s a way to express myself, as the vibrant and extravagant Boss that I am. And as you’ve heard me say many times before, I want to work in the Beauty and Fashion industries, so for anyone like me, you need to stay in the loop on the hottest products! Lord knows I have had a journey with different makeup brands and products, and I’ve finally found things that work for me and my melanin. Let’s see what they are!

Elf Eyebrow Pomade

I’ve tried my hand at many different eyebrow applications; pencils, gel, you name it! But this pomade is so bomb (and so cheap). The application is so smooth, it literally glides on your face, and it’s easy to maneuver. I picked it up at Walmart, but I’m sure you can find it in essentially any store that sells elf products (which is a lot of them). I use the color ‘Espresso’ and it works so well with my chocolate brown complexion. I highly recommend this product, and if you don’t feel like going to the store, you can order online down below:

NYX Glitter Brilliants and Glitter Primer

I love, love, love glitter! Especially the silver kind because it reminds me of diamonds, which is my birthstone. I brought this in the number 06 which is ‘Style Star’ I believe from Ulta for my 21st birthday, and it was a hit! I also recommend purchasing the primer to go along with it for convenience. The application is easy, but it can get very messy, very quickly. I think that just comes along with practice though, the more I use it, the less fallout I have. The Crayon Case ‘Box of Crayons’ Ishadow Palette

I have a very special relationship with this product because it was the very first high-quality eyeshadow palette I purchased. I bought it last September, having never really incorporated eyeshadow into my makeup routine. I wanted to really begin experimenting with color, and this was the perfect palette to do so! The pigmentation is A1 and I barely have any fallout. Also, shout out to SupaCent for being so innovative with the branding of this line. I love the school theme! Check it out below:

Gawgeous Winks Lashes

So, y’all know I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t highlight someone locally. Big hair, big lashes, big dreams is my new motto, and Gawgeous Winks definitely doesn’t disappoint. I went to a hair and beauty event during my school’s homecoming back in February (we don’t have a football team, we do homecoming during basketball season), and I saw the owner, Tatyana Boyd holding it down at her station. I had no choice but to stan, the lashes were extra just like I like it and the prices were bomb! They lasted me a while, too. I just love when my studious peers get their hustle own, and I know you guys do as well, so go cop a pair:

NYX Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop Foundation Collaboration with Alissa Ashley

Okay first, I would like to thank God and my mama for giving me good skin, because I’ve never really had acne problems. Even with no relative skincare routine, my face stays pretty clear, hence why I don’t wear foundation unless it’s for a special occasion. However, when I did, I would always run into problems where it was either to cakey or too runny or not quite my skin tone. But when I discovered this foundation in Ulta and saw Alissa Ashley’s name attached (I’m also a YouTube fanatic), I had to cop! I’ve never had a liquid foundation with a squirting applicator, so I was floored at how convenient it was. I have the shade ‘Sienna’ and it practically melts into my skin. Paired with my finishing powder, I feel like I look golden when finished beating my face. The prices are also crazy affordable, so go ahead and slide to the website here:

The Crayon Case Contoursition Notebook

Back again with another crayon case product! When I say this contour kit is heaven sent, I am not exaggerating. It comes with concealers contours, and highlights that change your life. My favorite is the ‘Bobby’ concealer and ‘Trophy’ highlight, I can’t tell you how many times people have thought I was wearing Fenty’s ‘Trophy’ highlight, and this entire kit is only fourteen bucks! Gone head and get it, sis:

Black Opal Deluxe Finishing Powder

Funny story, I stole this from my Grandma. She got it years ago, and it was just wasting away in her bathroom, so I took it before I even really knew what it did. But once I found out, honey, it was a gamechanger. This takes your look to a whole new level giving that golden glow I was talking about earlier. I have the ‘Neutral Light’ shade, and it lasts so long guys. Check it out here:

Urban decay ‘1993’ Vice Lipstick

Anyone who knows me knows I’m obsessed with nude lips and the 90s. I literally just bought this from Ulta because of its ‘1993’ title and the fact that it’s a pink nude. Plus, the packaging was so chic and cute. Nonetheless, the wear is long lasting, and it makes my already full lips look even more full, which I love.

Fenty Stunna Lip Paint

Along with my love for nudes, I also love pinks, browns (reds too, but let’s save that for the next product), and Rihanna. This lip combo is my go-to everyday makeup look, and the pigmentation that ‘Uncuffed’ and ‘Unveil’ gives is life! For some reason, I’ve been having trouble finding a pigmented brown matte lipstick for the longest, and ‘Unveil’ literally answered my prayers. They are so worth the $24, so go pick some up here:

Coloured Raine ‘Cherry Blossom’ Liquid Lipstick

Saving the biggest game changer for last, the ‘Cherry Blossom’ liquid lipstick! I had been looking for years for the perfect deep red for my skin tone when I discovered Ellarie. She’s a beauty influencer close to my complexion who was applying this luscious red to her lips and I immediately looked in the comments for details on what it was. The way it dried was so gorgeous, I recommend this to all my brown skin girls who are looking for reds. I also recommend using some sort of purple liner (or purple lipstick as liner) for a beautiful ombre effect. Ellarie uses her ‘Ellarie’ pencil from her collaboration with ColourPop Cosmetics, which I also purchased. PLEASE go and cop down below:

I hope this helped all my Beauty Queens in your quest for substantial products! I tried to incorporate a variety of price ranges, as I understand we have to ball on a budget sometimes. This list alone took me years to accumulate, so take your time when picking out the perfect products for you. Catch ya later!
